We feel that the best advice comes from sharing personal experiences. Your hosts, Valda and Steve are experienced cyclists who over the last 10 years have travelled and cycled extensively through France and Italy.

We caught the cycling bug initially in Australia riding socially for fitness that led to racing and cycles sportive events like the Peaks Challenge series around Australia. We soon fell in love with life on two wheels and were captivated by the majestic scenery and history of the Tour de France, made famous by the historic battles we witnessed in our lounge room each July; initially courtesy of SBS. Thus, the European mountains beckoned.

Over the years, we have discovered many of the most beautiful rides in the world from the Alps to the Pyrenees, the Vosges to the Jura and then beyond to the Lakes and Dolomites, experiencing the best that France and Italy have to offer.

We have experienced the pain and exhilaration of Haute Route, an amazing and very challenging event series billed as the “highest and toughest cycle sportive in the world”.

Our passion for cycling and travel inspired us to share our expertise through cycle tourism, to use our organisation and communication skills; to share our travels, tips and local knowledge; with you, whatever your level – as a budding cyclist, cycling enthusiast, or cycling crazy like us!
