The market is open rain or shine on Wednesdays from 8 am to 1:30 pm and Saturdays from 7 am to 2:00 pm. Special events include the Summer Nights series in December, May’s colourful Australian Body Art Carnival, family-friendly Easter festivities and a special Celebrate Queensland celebration in June. The market is closed Christmas day but open on New Year’s Day. Best time to visit is often Wednesday mornings when fewest folks are abroad and the air is still cool.
